Taping up the loom in the wiper mechanism area I found a brown/black wire folded up and taped into the loom.
Can anyone tell me what this is for? I have the wiper motor correctly wired up as per the drawing I found and there are no spaces left to connect to. The fresh air motor connector is fully wired as is the fuel sender. The brake like switch is a single wire and is down in position. I cannot fit this wire anywhere in this area. |

If I'm not mistaken... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) It's for the intermittent wiper relay

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Like this? Believe it goes to pin 5 on the wiper stalk.

That is exactly what it is. The factory wire for the wiper delay relay, 1972-76 cars only. |

Thanks for help.
My car is a 74, why would it be taped off? Is the intermittent phase an optional extra? |
