Hi Gang,
I have two exhaust i am thinking about putting on my 914...
an original exhaust ....or an Monza dual exhaust...
which one is better ?
I have put both of them on and test it out...seem like the Monza is a little loud.

does it make a different in performance????

The original exhaust (banana) is considered to be a very good unit, much better than the Monza. If you like the 4 pipes out of the Monza it's another question.

Put whatever one you feel like, at worst, it's 2 gaskets and 6 bolts to be changed afterwards.

And yes the Monza is pretty loud, if you can take it good but it gets you tired on long trips.

Monza's will be a little buzzy and loud. Are you talking stock 1.7/1.8 or 2.0? If 2.0 - I'd leave it stock, they clean up real well and you can paint them with cold galvanizing paint for an OEM finish - looks sharp. If 1.7/1.8 I'd probably go with something like a bursch style personally.

thank you for the info...
i have the original 2.0...which i got for a very very cheap price...
it have a some surface rust..which i am painfully sanding away.

travis...where can i get those paint? do i have to put a primer on it?

i picked up some high heat paint from wal wart..will that work?
