(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487559760.2.jpg) I need a set of side mirrors to mount on the car. When I got the car, the prior owner gave me a set of 911 power mirrors painted to match the car. When I was looking at them today, I decided I don't want to try and mount them - not sure I can get them body lines lined up properly. I thing the stock style mirror is ok, but wanted to know if you had other recommendations. I like these, but don't know where to find them: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/momentcar.com-11380-1487559760.3.jpg) Anyone running this style? I'd like to see it on a car as well: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/www.sierramadrecollection.com-11380-1487560582.1.jpg) |

Thanks. I did find some Baby Tornados from EMPI for $20 each from JBugs (plus $8 shipping). I want something of decent quality and not sure if EMPI will cut it - anyone using them? JBugs mirror |

I personally like the original factory mirrors. However, the later 911 'flag' mirrors can be made to fit, but the base needs to be modified to fit correctly.
The Vitaloni mirrors seem to look cheap (again, in my opinion, your experience may be different). |

I like the Vitaloni Sebring Mach I Mirror. These are totally period correct and were used on the 935 !

I'am using them, period correct, offer good vision,I have my factory mirriors tucked away in a safe place. You can buy them used easy enough but its the rubber bases that are very hard to find. |

FYI - here are the painted mirrors I got from PO. I think they are 911. But they require 3 holes and looks like placement is critical.
Elliot is sending me his template but I'm still not sure I want to risk trying to install these. (they have some dust on them) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487620000.1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487620000.2.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487620000.3.jpg) |

I've been considering these as of late -
https://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/Afterma...000017.2.cKBD9R Love the carbon fiber mirror above, but from what I recall they are expensive. Personal preference, but I HATE the tornados. Just look cheap to me... |

Why not just stock mirrors painted black?

Most all here agree that '73 Mustang mirrors complement the car perfectly.

This would be cool as my other toy is a 68 Mustang (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487688232.1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i304.photobucket.com-11380-1487688232.2.jpg) |

Those Durant-style mirrors have some of the worst viewing usability of any mirror I've ever experienced. Personally, I would rather have no mirrors at all than those.
I would vote for standard SC / 911 mirrors or the SPA race mirrors from places like Pegasus racing. |
