Beautiful wheel, but isn't a 914 347 805 10 a leather wrapped 914-4 wheel? If it is, it will take some modifications to fit a 914-6 / 911..

It is an early 914-4 wheel and will fit perfectly on a 914-6 or 911. Just use a 914-6/911 cancel ring instead of the 914-4 plastic hub. It's the same steering wheel apart from the model number stamped on the front.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The early 914 steering wheels have the same spline count as the 911 and 914/6.

I have a 914 347 805 11 off a early 72 that still has it's factory leather covering. Slightly checked and dry in a couple of areas (top of the wheel in particular), but usable as is or a great candidate for restoration. Stock 914 horn button (wing) and turn canceling ring. Same spline count as this wheel. Will fit early 914, 914-6. Any interest? PM me if so, I don't troll the classifieds like I used to.

You just need to drill and tap 2 small holes for the 914-6 horn cancel ring. It has the same splines but the later wheels are not a perfect fit for early cars or 911. They fill fit fine, but not the same as an early wheel. The designation on the end - 11 - denotes a slightly different hub.

I didn't say they were the same, just that they had the same spline count. Good info on the canceling ring fitment and the sub-number, thanks. I'll probably just keep this one for another 10 years anyway. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
