Nice car.....but the tach and speedo are not correct. Silver disk gauges were not used on cars built after 10/73.

Oops! Guess that kills the original 65K mileage claim. Looks like an early sharp angle outside mirror, Hmmm! Lots of earlier stuff, basket weave door panels, hard to tell.

Did you remember to set the odometer to 65K when you put it back in? Lol!
Can an expert on the plaid inserts comment if the pattern is like the original ones?

Who told you that fallacy? Viper green metallic was an available color for 1976. Assuming that's your color code and not a special order sample to match. Regarding the interior, hard to tell being you pulled the pictures due to the wrong spedo. I would venture to guess it was green tartan, which was also a factory option. Not a one of one. I seen at least a half dozen in that color combo, as have other members of the board.

Tod is right - it's definitely not a 1 of 1 with viper green metallic and green tartan seats. Where are the other photos BTW? I've also see that combo before on a car that my brother's good friend purchased new in '76. I remember seeing the car about 30 min. after it was picked up from the Ted McWilliams Porsche+Audi dealership in Pittsburgh. The viper green is one of my all time favorite colors.

Thanks Jeff. I certainly don't see the blue stripe running through the plaid pattern on the seats. Was the plaid shown on the swatches for '76 also the same for '75?

He removed the original photos of the silver disk gauges and replaced with more recent photos that show the correct gauges.....he admitted this in one of the later posts.

Looking for what everybody else seems to be looking for - a great 73-76 914 2.0. Am willing to pay up for quality - I understand that the low end of what I am looking for is $20k, and it goes up from there. Can be a restored car or nicely kept original. Original engine with fuel injection is a must. Very limited or no mods preferred. Prefer a silver car or one of the period bright colors - no color changes. Plaid fabric seats (if they came on the car originally) a huge plus. Full documentation, manuals, ownership history, COA also a huge plus.

Thanks.

chipbell@verizon.net

I have a line on a '76 2.0 in white that is local to me, it is in very nice original condition, vin is 6 cars from the last one. If you are interested I can give you the contact info. He was asking in the $24k - $25k range. Car is located in the Chicago area.

This car is still available just saw it today at a local PCA event, very nice! I can give you contact info if interested. Asking $25k has 40k original miles.
