Edit: Sept 30, 2018, Still have a few black straps left. $25 shipped in the U.S.

Update, I am out of gold zinc plated straps until I get more plated. Plenty of black powder coated and bare SS straps. One silver zinc strap.

Now available in plain stainless, black powder coated stainlwsss, gold or silver zinc plated stainless. all include mounting hardware. I finally got the fab shop to get these produced.

Made of stainless steel to prevent rusting which the original ones were prone to due to the brake fluid.

Same thickness as original and stronger as they are made from stainless.

Included are stainless screws, lock washers and new black oxide nut clips.

$25 shipped

Fit is perfect. Amazing how corroded the original strap was.

I have seen ones that were yellow zinc. Other have reported theirs were black painted.

THat is why I made them in all finishes.

I was wrong when I mentioned that I thought they were all yellow plated. My early cars are but my two '74 's were black. Most of the black had rusted off,

Was there ever any consensus on whether the yellow plated straps were original for early vehicles and the black painted ones original to later vehicles? Looking at pictures in this thread, there does not seem to be any reliable pattern. I was a little surprised that plated straps might be original to early because my pretty original early car has a corroded black painted strap that I'd like to replace with whichever was original. Do we need a poll to get some data on this?
