I sent my gauges and senders out to Palo Alto to have them calibrated. When I removed my oil pressure sending unit I failed to keep track of where the wires go. One is labeled "G" and the other is "WK". One of these goes to the gauge and the other goes to the engine wiring harness.

Thanks for your help

David

Usually they both go to the gauge, but IIRC G is just a direct ground.
Are you sure it's just one wire to the gauge?
Likely one wire was already there through the harness and only one extra wire was needed to be run.

edit: brain fart moment and now the pic came up for me, that's a aftermarket VDO combo sender.
G is the idiot light, WK is the gauge.

Yep, that's a 2 in 1 deal. This sender has both, a 7psi oil idiot light terminal and a oil pressure terminal for the gauge.

Yea, I ran a dedicated wire up to the gauge. The other wire was from the factory sending unit.

Thanks for your help guys,

David

Wrong way around. G is the gauge, WK is the warning light.

don't we love it - ask a question and get 17 opinions/answers - most of which are wrong or irrelevant!

sometimes you actually get useful info!

If they say it on the Internet (or Facebook) it must be true
