Hi Guys,
Any advice on stereos? We are not wanting to go with the original 1972 look. For the time being we are just wanting to go modern (I still have teenagers living at home). We'd like to get Bluetooth with a CD player. 1. I have bought the tin for the stereo/dash. 2. I understand the real anchoring point is the bracket at the firewall. Is there a defined depth that the stereo needs to be in order to fit the front face and back bracket? Thanks for any advice, Ross |

Pretty much any single din. I shop the deals @ crutchfield. I like HD radio, so that usually includes cd player. I look for bluetooth, 2 usb ports, HD radio.

Guys, (not trying to hijack, but figure guys reading this ought to know) I know nothing about car stereos, and worse, really don't give a dang, I'm pretty much an NPR - Sportstalk radio guy. But is it feasable to just put in a couple of bluetooth speakers, and then just run em off you phone, ?
I have to put some sort of "radio in my teener, but also need to do it in my ex mod defender 110 - I'm figuring powered speakers linked to phone with play lists and i heart radio might just do the trick |

When I went to the stereo store years ago, they had Blaupunkt car stereos in many different colors! When I told the clerk I wanted the yellow one, he asked "Are you sure you want yellow?" I pointed at my teener outside and said I was sure. Here's a pic so you can see if a colored stereo might accent your car. BTW, it's a great four speaker unit.

It puts out an amazing amount of sound for it's size, runs a long time on a charge, and can charge your phone. |
