Hey - my very first thread!

A buddy of mine has an offer to buy a 914 LS2. This is Tony's old car.

We're in Mass., the car is in California (near Ventura), so he's looking to find someone local (and knowledgeable) to do a pre-purchase inspection before finalizing the deal.

Recommendations or offers gladly accepted. Happy to pay time & expenses.

Thanks

I would like to help but Ventura is a three or four hour drive in 15mph six lane freeway traffic unless done a 3am. And Ventura is only 97 miles from Laguna Beach..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif)

Maybe someone from LA could chime in. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I used TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys last year for a 911 and was happy with the thoroughness and price.

It was $250.00 They took lots of pictures (32) and they did all their usual stuff and everything I asked for additionally, plus were willing to spend time explaining on the phone with me in detail and issued a thorough printed report of findings. Still a bit of a trek but its LA and I would recommend.

TRE Motorsports
15854 Strathern St Van Nuys, CA 91406
818-909-9220

Good luck!

I agree use a place like this that knows and builds
These cars and get your money's worth
Will be the best 250 you ever spend

Weather the cars a basket case or a dream ride

Thanks guys! I'll try TRE Motorsports.

I had called another Porsche Specialist out there and they said they don't even do 914's. And that was before I told them about the v8.

Call:

Jason DuarteĀ
He is in Ventura
RS enterprises 805-643-1041

He worked on my 911 when I lived in that area (long time ago).
Just checked (with my uncle) and he is still there.

Ventura is not that big... He probably knows the car already.
