@Burton73 when does the auction go live? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Very soon, there is a lot to cover. Some changes back and forth

Best Bob B

Well, someone got a screaming deal, 3rd highest price for a 914-6 ever on BAT yet this car is far nicer with far more in it than the other 2.

Not a bad price for the seller but the buyer got a hell of a deal.

If it was at all in my price range I would for sure have been in on this one.

Anyone know the buyer?

I'm really glad you got a good price. But it will always be Bob's car.

From this morning's Stuttgart Market Letter:
This 1970 914-6 was quite the build, and was thoroughly documented in a post over on 914world. Purchased by its current owner in 2006, it was modified by PMB Performance between 2014 and 2019 with work consisting of the car being stripped to bare metal and fitted with GT-style steel fender flares and refinished in its original shade of Canary Yellow. The interior was reupholstered in Orange leather with Beige squareweave carpets, and before you say “Yellow over Orange, barf!” have a look at the pics. The 3.0-liter flat-six featured ported 3.2L cylinder heads, electronic fuel injection with Borla individual throttle bodies, a Holley Terminator X ECU, 911S-specification camshafts, and more. It sold at a final bid of $160,000, besting the previous custom 914 high by $40,000. Considering all that went into this one, I’m going to have to say well bought here.

Yes...for sure That's Bob's ride ¡!
I was over Bob's way last month for a quick visit; he actually had the matching #s 2L bare engine case for his 9146. If that went along with the car= a Super deal for the new owner.
I've seen his ride out at PECLA and all I can say is Eric and his team at PMB are Renaissance Artists (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Thanks to everyone for your great comments. I have been here for 20 years, and I have gotten on line almost every day no matter where in the world I may have been. Even got the winning bid on my 6 on Ebay when I was on a Disney cruse with my family. Even on 914world when I was in Asia ( on biz 4 times a year) or Europe traveling on Plastic biz. I have been a 914 / 911 guy since I was 25 when I got my 1st 74 2.0 and then my 1st 911

Again, thanks to all my 914 friends /Porsche friends

Best as always, Bob B Burton

Picture of my 74 2.0 (factory BK) that I was doing a 3.0 conversion back in early 80s. That is my 1st born daughter standing in my 914 with my 70 convertible Dodge Challenger (Hemi Orange) I loved my 1st house. It had a detached 4 car garage as well as parking for 30 extra cars.
