QUOTE(Rand @ Apr 4 2017, 09:15 PM) *

seeing different mechanical goodies behind the pedals... Do they actually use hydraulics or something to differentiate a feel between clutch and brake? Feedback is one thing, but it looks like you've got a lot more going on there. Are there game pedals that simulate clutch vs brake pressure "feel" ?
(I know there are on the big money simulators, but it looks like you have some of that going on?)

Yes, these pedals have changeable springs, adjustable positioning, different pedal pads (small, large, narrow). There is a "vibration" function and most people online seem to agree it adds something but not quite like full ABS or hydraulic pedal feel. I hadn't really dug into that aspect far as I don't think the xbox (or Forza software?) supports this function. I did test it with a PC briefly.

The shifter is impressive too - metal, with a selectable gate option and sequential option. I run it as a conventional manual shift typically or I use the "flappy paddles" if I don't feel like clutching. Yep you have to clutch this thing too. MOUNTING the shifter is a bitch. The Playseat shifter mount I have is terribly unstable so I need to re-fab that area.

The clutch feel is probably the least realistic. That's really hard to get right I imagine without real hydraulics and something mimicking the mass and spring forces of the clutch. I may fiddle with the tuning springs on that.
