This is kind of a round about thing, so bear with me.
I was foaming the inside of my rear fenders yesterday (not your usual 914 job) and couldn't get at the front seam at the drivers side ....oil tank in the way. I decided to build an extension for the squirt thingy on them expanding insulating foam cans.....so I'm rooting around and find one of the metal fuel lines (we're closing in on it) that passes thru the front bulkhead. I cobble up the extension and crawl in the fender well feeling proud of my self , stick that puppy in the seam, & pull the trigger.....and nuthin comes out..cept thru one of my jionts..WTF? So I go look at the other half of the metal line (which I had cut in half)....it's clogged with shittage....not totaly, just mostly. "Well I'll be dipped in shit.", says I. I had pulled these metal lines out a bout 5 years back. My fuel tank was squeaky clean when I solt it to AAron a couple months back. I dunno if this line was feed or return. Dunno if this is the answer to anyones fuel problems, but I thought I'd pass it along |
