Cool car.
Surely very expensive to build. But lots of great ideas in this one. http://s3mag.com/blog/kelly-moss-porsche-914/ |

Very nicely and tastefully done. Frankly though, it's all been done before...

There has been a thread on the board regarding a "singer" level 914 build. This is as close to it as I have ever seen.
You can spend an hour finding cool, trick details on this thing. Did that at the last Rennsport reunion and this article revealed stuff I did not pick up. Very cool 914. |

This was an awesome project to be part of, the craftsman at Kelly-Moss were a joy to work with because of their fabrication skills. I will post some progress pictures as the car was built. I will start with the chassis as it was when I started my part.

Yes, this has been done before. But this has many nice details, and also well executed.
I am in the process of personalizing a 914-6 conversion I purchased over a year ago. I can only wish to have the knowledge, skills, and resources to execute my car to this level. Very cool car (my favorite color helps), and a very nice example. Well done. Bill. |

I wonder who they built it for? I could afford a car like this but then I'd have to live in it. And hire a divorce lawyer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

It was decided that the car would be a GT with a twist. there has to be over 100 hrs in the front bumper alone. Jeff Stone (Owner of Kelly-Moss Racing) spared no expense in the build. He had me source every part NOS if possible.

Wow, VERY nice build (understatement). Someday if/when I retire it from racing I may convert my 914R into a "shadetree" version of something like that, semi-streetable again.
