I almost never see a 914 here in Las Vegas. I do come across the occasional Renegade car at the track and car shows.
It has literally been years since I have seen a random teener in the wild.
Sorry but there was no way possible for me the turn around and try to catch this one.

Don't recognize that one. But it is much nicer looking than the last air cooled Pcar I saw (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I'm sure it sounded better too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)

Strangely enough, I saw 2 of them in the past 2 days. One Adriatic blue at the 55 fwy and 17 th street in Newport on Thursday. Then today on my way home from work I saw a rattle can flat black one on Carson and Downey st in lakewood. Before Thursday, I hadn't seen a stray in a year or so.

I saw another one on the road today in Vegas. (Not under it's own power.)

The teener had blue California plates and what appeared to be temporary registration papers on the windshield. Worn cardboard boxes were in both seats. (My guess would be parts.) I had the feeling that it was not a runner. (I hope I am wrong.) The truck had Nevada plates and lawn furniture and boxes in the back.

It's a beautiful February day in Vegas. I am running errands on the other side of town, minding my own business, sitting in the left turn lane.
What's that? Can it be? Honk horn - green light - U-turn - floor it - catch up.

Sweet! Always special when you see one on the wild. Very special when your driving one too and see another 914.

If you want to see more 914s, you should try to make it to

Cars und Kaffee on the north side of Vegas. I saw a few there when I went last October.

More than 2 years since my last random teener sighting in the wild . . . . I encountered another one tonight, on my way home from work, in Elvira. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Actually, he spotted me first and caught up.
I saw strange, low headlights coming up in my mirrors, so I slowed to see what it was and if they wanted to play.

Even when it is a know car, @Der914 Mikey, it is extremely rare and very exciting. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif)

Your auto sig says SoCal. But you say you are in Texas. Where are you located? Because there are lots of 914s around here.

Even in Orange County, it is rare to see one in the wild. Way to many idiot drivers. I typically drive my sacrificial Toyota GT86.
Anybody recognize this car?
