How can I tighten up the friction on the front window's rear view mirror. The round connecting section between the window mount and the mirror itself does not seem to be split or have any screw(s) to allow me to tighten it up. Is there a trick to it?

What am I missing?
Answer: A real 914 mirror. That is not a 914 mirror. Get any stick to the glass mirror to replace it. The type that have a metal divot that glues to the glass and the mirror base slides on. I should have some BMW mirrors that look identical to 914 mirrors. About any mirror from 3, 5 or 7 series BMW from the 80's will work. Bruce |
