Panel fitment is of a car less than 1/2 the asking price. Bumper toppers are a little rough. It is pretty.

Karman tag is NOT a six tag. . Six tags only had the paint code stamped, no body numbers were stamped and this one has digits in Ser No portion. . Rivets should be solid head, not pop rivets. . { Mike, I know you were jesting}
Outside mirror is late style. Has Black [Not white] rivets on threshold plates. . . For that kind of money I wonder why they left off the money shots of the motor and trans, especially the motor and trans stamped numbers And why didn't they show the Karmen Body number stamped in the rear trunk. . too many 'funny' things left out for a $120K car.. |

Fog lights are wrong for the car. Never seen so many blurry radio pictures. But they were taken in natural light. Pretty car but too much money to the amount of things wrong.

We are a tough crowd for sure. Couple issues that need to be corrected. I wish the seller would edit his photos to remove all of the duplicates and blurry photos and add some of the most critical photos- the underside and stamped VIN, etc. But gotta love an Irish Green Six. I think that price is a stretch without supporting docs and more pics showing the balance of the car. Still, it's a pretty car.

It is a great color. As mentioned before, it would be nice to see some in depth pictures. The plate on the door jamb does make me pause and wonder what happened. Was the restoration started by someone who did not know what they were doing, or was it finished by someone who didn't know what they were doing? What car did the plate come from, because my sixes only have the paint code stamped on them and nothing more? Other sixes that I have seen only have the paint code stamped on them as well. If this portion of the car was overlooked, what lies beneath? It would be great for all of us if the car sells for the asking price. Although I don't think that will happen. I might take a road trip in the coming weeks to go check it out. Seeing as how Forrest and Larmo live nearby, they might consider checking it out as well. For entertainment purposes if nothing else.

Question for the six experts. The karmann tag appears to be stamped L60E. Wouldn't that tag be from a four, as the six tag would read 1510? Not slamming a nice car, just trying to learn..

I would say....because it is "n.l.a.". That car seems to have a replacement part in the rear trunk. What piece of the trunk do you think looks wrong? I see screws that must be for the heat shield but I assume this car was re-painted and they only put it back after? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) yep but the should have some body putty stuff around them to seal other then that I don't see anything funny there... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) and yes a bit pricey but it wont be long and that will be the norm for a factory six in good condition...sit back and watch um go up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Bruce, the correct fogs should be TN1/TN2 ? That is correct. Actually the lens, bezel and housing of the early fog light is slightly different. The correct TN1/TN2 has the split in the lens ribs. |

[/quote] If you are referring to the big hole plug and seam sealer that looks original. Early cars had that applied with a brush. It might be the light but the rear of the trunk floor looks bulged upwards. Bruce |
