I purchased a new Main Targa Seal from 914 Rubber. Looks very nice. However, when I went to install it, I did not see a place for it to grab along the pillars of the windshield on both sides.

I had assumed that the seal would fit onto the seam shown in the pics but it does not have a groove in the seal to do so.

Wondering if there are supposed to be some trim pieces on the left and right windshield pillar and the seal would grab those?

You are correct... there should be a trim strip that attaches to the A-pillar that the seal mounts to.

Maybe someone will have a picture they can post.

Thanks. I'll look for some to purchase.

If I'm reading my PET right, since I have a 71, looks like I need:
914 531 824 10 for the right and
914 531 824 11 for the left

Looks like there is a mistake in the PET.

It shows different part numbers for -73 and 74-
But sometimes the same part number. When I look at AA, they show same part number for all years.

Best bet is someone parting a car. Check the classifieds and post a WTB add.
