You don't need to. I had lunch with Mark and his entire flight crew today and we talked about this very subject. Target availability is late summer. He has had several setbacks on this project in particular. The factory where they were prototyping actually burned down with the prototype stuff in it and the fire Marshall wouldn't let them go in and retrieve because they hadn't closed out the investigation.

I tease Mark about this regularly so it is always on his mind. It's the last piece of my interior so trust me, he is aware that the market is waiting.

Unless he decides to ABORT! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(Private joke for Mark. The rest of you can ignore)

You know that cracked piece in every 914 that is impossible to find and replace? That one.

Funny thing is mine is really great compared to some I've seen, and I still want to replace it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

on 914 rubber there is a contact form where you can request them to make a part for you. the reasons why and how much you think they should sell it for. I wrote them months back asking them to make this part and I think it should be sold for 300$
they replied saying this summer but did not state price. I doubt until they do their development phase they will know but we do know as 914 world members there will probably be a group buy right here so keep your eyes peeled.

As bumper tops sell for $350 each I think you should expect to pay well above that amount. The targa bar pads are as unobtanium as 914 parts get and prob one of the last items to be replaced. Often the buyer has to 'settle' when upgrading with a used unit. I imagine the development costs to be pretty steep.

Actually, that will be the target price area according to our conversation at the rib joint.

This part will cause quite a stir when he releases it. I wouldn't wait too long to order, you'll miss out!

Yes this is a project that we have been working on for quite some time. And it's actually to the point we were ready to make it. The way we were going to make it initially didn't quite work we wanted up having to redesign the tool. The whole Warehouse didn't burn down the problem was it was an electrical fire and a lot of the controllers and electronics were ruined. Almost back to speed with my regular production including the dash stops. Now we can get back into making these. Of course there will be a group Buy I take care of my people at 914 world because without you I would exist. Thanks for your patience will be rewarded
soon.

BUT ONLY if you can put a tube in the screw hole so we can find the freaking screws if it has to come off again later. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

What a pain getting screws in and out of that pad.

Mike, I will certainly buy one when they're ready. I have trouble believing how perfect the dash pad I got from 914 Rubber is, and look forward to having a matching targa pad to finish out the interior.

Will you also be making the plastic plugs/buttons that hide the screw holes, or are those available elsewhere?
