very nice. My approach was a little different but with outstanding IMHOpin results too / I made mine out of carbon fiber and epoxy resin and they are half the weight of the tin pieces and fit great including the rubber to "tin" lip mate area.

Keep up the good work.

Ben,

Any further update with this or the muffler to go along with your heat exchangers you are designing?

Good job, I also made my own. For the rear I mated a 911 tin with a /4 rear tin.

Just an FYI, Restoration Design is just finishing up the dies on OE perfect repop tin sets.

If anyone wants a homebuilt front tin let me know I'll sell it cheap. Member/friend had an OE piece in a lot he bought and gave it to me, so I don't have a need for the one I made.
The front tin is about the hardest bit to make.

I completed a set and powdercoated it then put them away for when i am ready for them.. Learned about the RD setup after i completed mine. That said i think they will be priced considerably more then what I would charge.. Theirs being correct though so I am sure that will help sales..

Muffler prototype is about a week away from showing progress.. Its coming though and will be awesome.

Do you have a tentative price for the muffler?

If you need a tester I'm hoping to fire up in about 2 weeks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

The prototype will be the cheapest though if i could get enough people together for a group buy I could probably be in the 500 range as they will retail in the 800 range..

GB sounds good to me. Going by the heat exchangers and oil tank I have, put me down for one muffler when you start the GB thread. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here is a sneak peak of the outer shell. Internals will be almost identical to the factory banana as they were excellent flowing mufflers and gives a perfect tone plus you could mod to a sport if you wanted.Attached Image

Mark I am sure I can work something out with you on bumpers ..
