I have a bolt in roll bar.
( hoop only ) I would like to fab up a petty bar as well. I'd like to see some to give me some ideas. Thanks, KT |

Here is a 'down and dirty' pic from Tony's shop during my cage installation a few years back. I have some more of my car and others on disk but it might take some time to locate them.
The fully Petty bar i.e. diagonal from the driver's head to passenger footwell area is pretty major deal; significant stiffening improvement IMHO but also pretty intrusive and unwelcome if your car is street driver and/or carries passengers much at all. I am thinking about making mine removable if it would even be worth keeping at all with the use of the required removable tubing fittings, i.e. they might add so much slop on a bar this long that they negate the whole point? my AutoPower bar came with a removable Petty bar. unless you're determined to do the fab work, you might just buy one complete from them...
