Hello I've bought a new starter. The old one had terminals on the top and bottom, the bottom one for the ignition switch I've seen. The new one (16300 part number), doesn't contain the bottom terminal to connect the wire to. I've seen it on some and I've not see it on others. Which one is the correct one to use? I can't seem to get an exact answer. The one from Pelican contains it in the pictures, the new one I got and the one from auto zone I also checked out doesn't. Some pics attached

What wire is that? Is it the hot wire from the alt?
If it is it can be wired direct to the hot post. My 914 the alt wire goes direct to the battery, which would be basically the same thing.
On the old starter do a continuity test from the hot post to that quick connect. If you have continuity that's likely what it is.
