Was driving the car stopped to get gas. When I went to start the car I had no power to switch in the run position. No light on dash etc. When I go to the start position I got it to turn over but not run as soon as I go back to run position. Thinking this is the switch but could it be something else like the board, ground, fuse or computer. Any suggestions in what connections to check that commonly fail. Any help is appreciated.

A catastrophic fail like that is most likely the ignition switch, especially since it would seem you did nothing prior to it running except add gas. I was able to purchase one through Porsche, getting past the cheap Chinese repros that seem to have a high failure rate. The extra $ are well worth it.

Good luck. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

End up being the switch. When I got it apart it was cracked.
