Thanks for the compliments! Still much to do. Here is the progress for now. Repainted these very unique frames. Looks decent huh? Now I need to buy some locknuts just in case...

Now we are in the process of cleaning all the carpet material with a good wet vacuum system. Took the seats off and found a 20+ year old taco bell sauce packet. I hope the mice ate it and gave them the worst runs in the history of runs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

Other than that I dropped a K&N filter. Going to use a bypass pipe to eliminate the cat. That is about it for now.

Quick update. Doing the brake system. Flushed everything out and adding ATE TYP200 (blue can). The master cylinder came in this week:
Attached Image.

Came into a small issue though. One of the brake lines (driver’s side) broke as I was removing it from the master cylinder. So going on a hunt for one. If anyone has an extra in good condition they can sell me message me please. Looks like I have to wait for next weekend to finish.

Don't know if you changed your tranny oil yet or not, but it looks like you had planned on using a full synthetic. The overall consensus here is that you want to use regular ol' gear oil, as the synthetic is deemed too "slippery" and will degrade shifting performance.

A quick update everyone. Have not much time to be on here or work on the 914 because I started the fall semester for the graduate program at Cal Poly and working at the same time.

Ordered SS brake lines from PMB. Prettty much got all the lines except the original one that broke. I emailed them see how we can resolve this. Plus, they assured me decals for the garage and I did not get any (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) See what happens with that, but I am sure this will work itself out.

Have a nice week everyone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Is that Murphy's law?

Quick update, Dalton @PMB sent me the last line that they forgot to ship this week. Thanks Dalton. Lines are good, not perfect, but with custom stuff not everything is 100% flush. They still owe me decals, which I kindly reminded him (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Everything went ok until we ran into some issues with the brake system. Turns out we installed it wrong because the little nipple that goes in the cylinder did not go in.
Attached Image

We thought it would be simple to install without removing the foot board but obviously that was not the case (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

So we installed and removed the cylinder after 2 times. Trying to install those annoying lines on the reservoir....just a pain the ass (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif). I would rather get kicked in the groin by Dr. Porsche than to deal with that again.

After everything was installed and bled the lines the brake system is still not working. Feels like some vacuum issue because the fluid isnt running when pumping the brakes. Maybe the nipple needs to be adjusted to active the cylinder when you press the pedal.

So new master cylinder test was unsuccessful. Try again next weekend when I have more time.

Quick update, haven’t been on here for a little while, but still doing stuff on this car. Recently, I removed the tint on all the windows and installed the drivers side rearview back to stock:

Next I am looking at the wheels. I am focusing on putting on the originals, but not too sure if I should strip the paint, keep original, or have them re-painted again:

Attached Image

At first I wanted to keep them black, but I am leaning onto the original metal looking stock look. See what happens, I will ask Santa for a second opinion....

Have them powder coated. Any color you want. Around here it's about $75 per wheel.
