My car won't stop winking at other cars. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wub.gif)
i decided to test my headlights (i haven't driven the car for 2 1/2years) when i got to my parking garage because i knew i was going to have to drive at night today. but now my lights won't stay up. they keep winking. is this something i can fix so i can get home safely, or do i need to call for a ride?
thanks

it's the headlight relay. try taking it out, cleaning it, banging on it, etc. to get you home. then buy a replacement.

Take the relays out that make the headlight motors work. then manually crank the lights up and drive home.

When you go to fix it, here's a description on how they work.

How your headlight motors work.

Or just let me know, I will be happy to help.

the relays are just for the motors, not the light itself.
take them out and crank the lights up by hand (back knob on the back of the headlight motor) ...

It's the relay we are all so used to seeing!

Manually raising your lights takes.... 10 minutes. hah

Have someone acctuate the lights, and yank the relays as they approach full up.

DON'T DO THAT IT'S A STUPID IDEA! NUBBY!
