Event: Porsche o2 vs. h2o gathering
Cheers and Gears / meet and greet

Date: Saturday June 24th.
Time: 8am -3pm (come and go as you please)

Location: Elevator Cafe & Commons
1033 SE Main Street and SE 11th
Portland Oregon 97214

Parking lot is on corner of SE Salmon and SE 11th (parking lot is first come first serve)
Lots of on street overflow parking

Something a little different that Cars & Coffee. Smaller and more quaint venue.
Porsche only event. But air cooled and water pumpers ..........
We're thinking 2-3 times per summer. Brain child of one of my sons coworkers.
His family has owned Porsche's from the beginning. Jay SyCip

That's my side of town. I will definitely try and make it. I know one teener and three guys with 944s. I will let them know. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif)

Technically, shouldn't it be N2 vs. H2O? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) After all, air is 78% N2 and only 21% O2.

Turn out was about what I expected. Probably 15 cars in total, plus a 66 Baracuda.

Cool venue. Quite a few folks road in on their bikes. First it's PDX and Jay works at Chris King Components with my son. My son road in on his collapsible Bromptown.
Took him home in the RS. He had to carry it on his lap. Strut brace in the trunk. Harness bar and belts in the back.

Just saw this, Cary. Liked the title. At first I thought it was the conversion crowd vs. the air suckers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Hope you guys had a great time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Will give this some thought. If all goes well, the 914 will be in the paint shop. But I need to get the 911 out another time or two to shake out the cobwebs prior to driving it to Werks next month.

Nothing like a teener-related excuse to ditch the fam for a bit... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

It would have been great, but I'm still waiting on some parts so it's got to sit as-is for the week.

Would enjoy being there but helping my brother at a PIR event Saturday. I hope you have another gathering in August or September. Looks like a nice venue.

I'm looking for a road trip to see how my car (and butt) handle a longer tour. Will check with Julie and see if she willing to get up early on Saturday morning.

Very cool to meet everyone this morning.

Special shout out to PanelBilly & spouse for making the haul down from Kent, Wash. I saw the New Interior Light in person and it is indeed badass. That thread needs to go in the classics.

Let's do it again in August!

The car ran just fine all the way there and back. If it wasn't for the the traffic on the way back I would have been a lottery happier. The engine spits and sputters until it warms up, but then it runs smooth. This the stop and go on the freeway was easy to manage. I'm going to need to do a bit of cleaning from the bugs!
