When newbies show up and their only contribution to the forum is to post high-priced items in the classifieds, I raise an eyebrow and sometimes I post my opinion. I'm sure I'm not the only one who shares the feeling.
You've never added your opinion on someone's F/S thread, Mike? Don't be hypocritical, OK? Case in point: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...p;#entry2501105 Maybe the OP would have better audience with the 356 and 911 crowds, and/or those who would mortgage their homes to restore their cars. Maybe you could buy it and post it for sale for double that next year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) |

Case in point: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...p;#entry2501105 Sorry this is so confusing for you to follow. My opinion on that thread was regarding current market prices for original Mahles like the seller had for sale. Your posts are comparing cheaply "Made in China" Hirschmann reproduction antennas to NOS original Hirschmann antenna prices. So if you have Woody's antennas on your cars they are the China made ones you can get for $25. |

You were still posting YOUR opinion that Greg's asking price was too much. It doesn't matter what the product is/was, what you did is fundamentally no different than what I did. I think everybody realizes that 'market prices' are whatever one is willing to pay, so your rebuttal regarding Greg's wheels doesn't really hold water. (Take your time and think it through again) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) I said good luck with the sale at least twice ... if that's not enough for you guys, so be it. Feel free to pay through the nose for those precious NOS parts. Me? ... I'll bide my time and search for a better deal if I actually needed something like that. I'll bet most folks on this forum (as well as others) would do the same, but yes, I understand that there are other folks would give their eye teeth to own those kind of parts. I'm done here - have an ice day. |
