That's also a chinese reproduction, it have 5 masts, Originals have a 3-mast Just want to ask the experts to educate some of us who "don't know much about Hirschmann antennas". From doing some research on the subject, Enoz05 was in the same learning mode a year ago (enlightening reads on the subject on the 911 Registry forum). My 911 (German delivery with factory installed Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, lautsprecher and antenne) is in storage so I can't verify right now, but my '66 912 has a Hirschmann with the black mast, 5 sections, black tip and gray quiver. I've owned the car since '88 and I bought it from the original owner. Were they made in China that long ago? Did they also make 4-section mast antennas, as shown in the diagram that accompanies the 40 year old one? (I don't have the original documentation that came with mine). Again, just trying to understand the differences ... am I going to get gigged for the 5-section mast when I drive it onto the grass? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |
