Sometimes you get lucky. My nos rear lenses cost me way more than $50.
I bought a 914 for $1,200 and sold the steering wheel for $1,000. I still have the car. I could probably get another $K for the dash top from a six owner. It's a 36k mile car. That was a good deal.

That's probably because I sent them a message stating what other vendors were selling them for earlier in the day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

NOS Hella rear lens are going for $400 to $500 each , and No, not a pair. . I remember ads in the Pano back in the 90's for $59 a pair. . Those days a long past, just like a Six for less than $10 grand.

True, there is a set on the local Craigslist at $800 for the pair. They have also been sitting for 3 weeks....supply & demand!

I bought Steven's NOS Euro rear lenses for 600 a couple of months back and jumped on them, those NOS side markers are not out of whack

The point is they are not being made anymore and price is relative. If sticking on a 8k daily ride then, yes probably hard to justify. If going on a freshly restored bee or six that is worth 30 or 80k+ then not

And if they sell, good for him - free market and capitalism at work.

Now would I pay those prices? That's another story.

The ebay seller looks like a real asshat. Looked at some of his other auctions. Trying to sell a Mercedes lug bolt for $62. Says 10 per car needed. Maybe is you only want them on tow wheels. Looks like Pelican price is $3.25 each for the Febi brand. Genuine MB is $6.75. He is in Carson. I bet he is buying from Pelican after he sells parts for those I wonder idiots fall for his schtick ? Euromotive is the company name.

The way it works on eBay is if you run out of an item you are selling, it is easier to jack up the price so no one buys the item instead of cacelling the ad. Once you have more of the item in stock, you lower the price to sell the item.

The NOS side marker lights....not overpriced IMHO.

The filter....definitely, but likely something else going on there like a typo or some other logical explanation.

This however, is pretty outrageous:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/914-6-Used-Motor-M...0I-&vxp=mtr

Not only is it an overpriced piece of trash, but pretty unusable if you ask me.
The top and bottom sandwich plates are welded together making the rubber mount in between ineffective at best.
Who would buy this?
Even authentic 914-6 owners would come up with a different solution than this.
But here this part is listed week after week on Ebay for more than a year now.
Just Wow!
