As the title says. I was going to put this on my 1.7 top end for a 1911 but am going a different route now. I had these rebuilt by a local re-builder about 4 months ago. Have the receipts. Bought the heads from a known member here. The only thing wrong with them was a stripped spark plug which you can see has been time certed and a burned valve. They have new seats and reground the valves, and new guides of course. No cracked fins anywhere.

These are L-jet heads, meaning they don't have a tap for a CHT. If you want them to be that can be done for extra. Otherwise you could run these with carbs as well without plugging a tapped hole. They are off a 74-75 L-jet 1.8 originally.

$525 plus shipping. This is what I have into them.

Price is lowered see additional info for CC volume and where the heads were done down below.


I also have a really nice 1.8 case that is standard standard. I'll take $250. It has been cleaned. Perfer local pick up in So Cal. I post pics if anybody is interested.

I.ll have to post it Bruce. He is local to the San Gabriel Valley.

I don.t know what the chamber volume is for a stock 1.8 but if anybody wants to know what these are I can post that too.

They came off a copper metalic car that is well known......and tenderly driven. That.s a hint. I.ll post those things this weekend when I get home Bruce.

You need to measure it on those heads. Each time they are cut the volume reduces. Can be done with a medicine dropper in CC to measure how much H2O it takes to fill the cavity.

Copper mettalic 1.8 engine should be from 1975 year model.

Like I said driven tenderly.

The chambers were just lightly cleaned up to true up the mating surfaces. I.ll cc them this weekend and post details.

Ok.....price lowered to $525 plus shipping.

The heads were done at Steve's Import Auto on Arrow Highway in Glendora.

The old man is retired now but his son specializes in head work and has done many many VW and Porsche heads. He specializes in watercooled Honda and other heads mostly. As everyone knows, now days to make a living with air cooled stuff only is a challenge. I paid $350 for the valve job plus what I paid for the good cores means I break even.

I cc'd the heads as Bruce so aptly pointed out. They measure out at 54.07. Stock is around 55 cc's. So there ya go.

I would like to sell these but if I don't I.ll just hang on to them when I sell my 1.7 drive train near the end of this year.
