Hi Everyone,

So I bought a new rear roof seal for the 914 (72). I understand how the "rear" chrome and screws clamp the rubber seal to the roof. It is the side chrome pieces that I am confused about. Each of the side chrome pieces looks similar to the rear chrome except that they have a "scoop" section that is glued to the rubber seal. Sooooo it looks like my choices are:

1. Cut the rubber seals (on the each side) and glue the chrome scoop section to them.
2. Somehow cut the side chrome to only bracket the rubber seal (similar to the rear chrome.
3. Or flip the chrome pieces over so that the bracket works; but then there would be chrome touching the body which negates the purpose of the project.

So, none of these options (especially #3) seem to exciting. Any help from someone who knows this pain?

Thanks, Ross
