Hi,

I am replacing the fuel lines under the gas tank of my early '72, and am looking for two grommets and a hose. See attached pics. The hose is PN 914 628 901 11. One grommet is for a wire that goes behind the gas tank and into the interior. The other is to the lower right of the tank for a threaded hose.

Looking for good sources to buy. And yes I checked 914 Rubber but didn't find them.

TIA for any advice.

Mike

you mean the windsheild washer hose right? I hope you don't put fuel in your washer bottle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yes, the windshield washer hose. And no, I don't put fuel in my washer bottle (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I broke the end off of the hose while working in the area, and noticed the grommets missing after the tank was out.

I have one somewhere. I can't look until tomorrow but you are welcome to it if I can make it turn up.

I would call 914Rubber. They don't have everything on the website yet and are actually in the middle of transitioning to a whole different site and configuration. They might have it. I did this, but a decade ago at least. Can't remember who I got those gaskets from... Sorry.

Grommet for the washer hose is the same one used for the positive battery cable on the VW Beetle. Should be available from VW retailers.

Places like Lowes & Home Depot now stock lots of neat little grommets, you may find a size that will work.

Thanks. That's what I was going to try if there were no direct sources.

Still looking for the washer hose. The end that screws into the tank is broken off.
