So there is a wealth of information out there on how to get 5x130 wheels and better quality axles and cv's for our cars.
I am well aware of the 911 hubs or drilled hubs or even adapter plates. Depending on your application, even drilled or 911 hubs need a spacer to fit the rim and tire correctly. So if I were to drill my hubs to 5x4-3/4 (chevy pattern), it would open my world up to literally hundreds of wheel and offset options. Has anyone else done this? does anyone sell these? Surely the racing crowd must use another wheel pattern as not to damage quality 911 rims, or to possibly save weight |

You can still buy brand wheels with correct offset in 5x130 so no reason to worry about that.
I think no issues redilling the rears, the fronts might be more challanging and then your brake upgrade choices suck. You will spend 300 to 400 for quality adapters which will require flares. Adapters that change bolt pattern not legal for most clubs and events. Bottom line you aren't going to be saving any real money. |

One advantage to staying with the 130mm circle is that you can use one of the factory lug holes. If you re-drill to Chevy (120.7) or any other common circle you have to drill five new holes. Trying to space five new holes around the four existing could compromise strength, to say nothing of the increased machining necessary.

Euromeister fuchs repop 16 and 17"are cheap.
I was offered a set of boyd 16X8 rims last year for dirt cheap, but it wasn't my thang. Most used 911 repop rims are cheap, or at least reasonable. One of the few exceptions would be panasports. I'd have to say porsche 5 bolt done right adds value to the car, but a Chevy pattern will lower the value, as many would consider it a hack no matter how well done. |

Another one is Maxilite. I emailed them when I was looking in some 9 and 11 x 15 wheels for my AX car. Their wheels are TüV certified in Europe.

As for taking away from the' genuine Porsche ' look or the resale value, my car already has a chevy engine, so I don't see wheel pattern changing much. I also have a wide body so I want a certain looking wheel with the right offset and I don't want to use spacers I was just wondering if someone either had done it, or had a set, or was considering it and had some advice.... |

I am getting ready to order custom wheels for my wide body and initially got sticker shock when shopping around. When researching options as you are I came across companies that make adapters that sound like the ones you are after.

What is on the car? 911 swap 5x130 or stock 4x130? The 911 front hubs can't be drilled, you're stuck with 5x130 and an adapter. The rears if 4 lug will need a hole welded up to get a solid 5x4.75. If you are all stock 4 lug then a 4x4.5 makes more sense. Super common size for Asian and even Dodge cars. Finding a wheel with a near 0 offset for flares is going to be tough. 911 8" wide Fuchs with stock offset fit pretty well. |

so my car has stock 4x130 all around.
I could be possibly talked into adapters for the front. and thanks for that link to adapter kings btw. for the rears, I really want a larger rim width not the fuchs style that everyone has, and I don't want spacers or adapters with the horsepower I have. I honestly thought someone would have a set of done this already |

Many other Porsche wheels out there. Plenty of cars running flares & spacers & 300hp too.
wheelenhancement.com/ The only time I've seen non P-car bolt patterns is on stock 4 lug hubs when the owner didn't want to upgrade to 911 ft susp but did need/want wider wheels. This is a stock 911 offset aftermarket wheel. 16x7 fits with rolled fenders and the matching 16x8 sticks out that extra 1" so it needs flares. I actually like the Boxster era wheels more as the higher offset allows slightly wider tires to squeeze in. |
