A quick note, I saw mentioned on the 'World once before that the Eastwood spray catches fire when welding on it. I was going to coat my longs with it but I guess I would have finish all the welding on them first. Sorry to thread jack.

It will get everywhere and run out of every opening so be ready for that and have ground cover under the car. |

Seeing that product going on means we are getting close to welding some panels on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I will spray it again once it's welded on the car. All area's that will be welded will be completely cleaned to metal prior to welding. This was a good way to coat this area prior to welding the fender on the car, it allowed me to move the fender around and get the coating in to all the pinch welds. Yes I like this product too. Hi Kent, just to be extra clear that was in no way intended to suggest you didn't know how to do use it!
I was just trying to confirm for the other member that you don't want this on a surface that you will be welding to. Near? Sure. On a surface to be welded, no because exactly as you wrote it needs to be clean metal. Getting it into surfaces that will be hard to reach once installed is a smart move, and of course why you are doing it now. Sorry if I was vague to a point where it read like I was trying to criticize or coach you, that is most certainly NOT the case. |

Understood Tom, I was just clarifying why I treated those areas prior to install. Your right, the car will get sprayed in all areas prior to paint. Hope you find a good 914 soon. Good to see that your doing your homework. PM me if I can help. |

What a disaster. It looks like the radius is kind of messed up in the middle there. It's going to look horrible once painted. I'd start over.
