Based on your rubber bumper, the car should be 75 or 76. check if Vin number start with 475 or 476. If vin start with 474, yes it is 1974 and maybe rubber bumper was installed to replaced the steel or chrome bumper.

You are correct, 75 chassis/body with a 74 2.0L.

Looks like it used to be a green car. Yellow over spray in the frunk. Black bed liner in the trunk is a red flag. Rust is probably worse than you can see. If you can get $6500 then take it.
