I am now about a month out from having to leave Oregon to make it to Georgia for Okteenerfest. I am working on finishing up my restoration but have a long way to go still. My motor is almost done and the question came up today about what transmission to use.
I have 3 options.
1. The tail shift transmission that the car came with. The car only has 50k miles on it and everything has been in very good condition as it was stored in temperature controlled storage for about 23 years.

2. A side shift from a 73 2.0. I know that this one works as of about 2 years ago. This one is currently leaking a little oil and is going in to a 74 barn find that I picked up last year.

3. The side shift that came in the 74 barn fine I picked up last year.
The car came with our an engine but it was stored in a barn in central Oregon and was in pretty good shape bit had been sitting without an engine connected to it for at least 10 years.

What would you Do? What do I need to harvest from the 73 if the swap is possible? Pictures would be great too.
Thank you.
