Melba (Toast) has some issues with her car, and unfortunately with Ron's passing (SLITS), she no longer has a good mechanic to help her out.
Wondering if there's some World members in the Las Vegas area that could lend her a hand making some minor repairs to her '73 914? |

Today's date was HOT (outside) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)
Getting the tank out required an unusual amount of effort, like the tank expanded to fill the hole (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) But it went in easier. While waiting for my assistants to clean the tank out I tackled the little things: Replaced the randomly beeping horn ring (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Installed the door catch. Found the old broken one hiding in the door (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Also lubed the latch while I was there. Toast found an extra lens in a box of dirty Lastly got the replacement pump installed just like Ron I thought she was exaggerating but right as we were cleaning up she got another drive-by offer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-431-1503890901.1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-431-1503890901.2.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-431-1503890902.3.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/farm5.staticflickr.com-431-1503890902.4.jpg) Next step is to replace the fuel line on the engine then it should be good to start. If we're lucky none of the FI pieces went kaput. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) |

If not i can donate one as that pump should not be exposed like that. BTW I like the hitch pin you used in the door stay pin. I hate trying to get the cotter pins out of those. |
