Hi guys!

I'm preparing myself to tackle my transmission rebuild-
Just watched Dr Evil's DVD masterpiece.

I'm looking now for the dog teeth removal tool p284t
and founds this at the bird:

http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperC..._pg5.htm#item27

Did anyone use the cheaper tool for $114?
What's the difference compared to the $150 tool?

Will a VW tool work also? I have a classic VW garage around the corner and
might ask if they have a "matching" tool.

Also, I would might a drive around the tri-state if some fellow members are
will to help or lend me the tool.

Thanks,
dc

mlindner rents the whole tool set you need for $100. http://914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=313940

The tool whore in us all doesn't like it, but it's a better deal assuming you don't plan on doing this repeatedly. Even then, he only charges once in case you need them again. I rented the set from him earlier this year.
