For sale a targa top.
Don't know what year, don't know if it matters.

Some very slight cracks along the front edge (under where the gasket goes) otherwise very solid.

Corners are good.

No front latches.

I have made no attempt to clear or repair.

Have other pictures but could only load one due to size.

$50 but you must pick it up in Poway, CA (northeast of San Diego).

Dean

Yeah, early and late are different. You can post a pic of where the front latches attach

Looks early to me. If the front latch mount is raised its late. If it's flat than it's early.
That picture looks like the front latch mount is flat.
Early would be 70-72.
I have a 75 914. Both early and late fit, but an early top on my car, I ended up with a 1/4" gap between the top of the door window and the targa top seal. Same 914 rubber side seals on a late top there is no gap. I was told the top needs to match the doors. Early doors early top. Late doors late top.

I vote early, too.

Here's a great comparison with pictures:

Well then ... no wonder the top(s) leak on the 'BB'. It's a '75, but all my tops appear to be the early type (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Not surprised ... remember what 'BB' stands for ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Thank you for giving it away and not throwing away. One day these parts will become hard to find.

I also have two "free" early tops.
Local pickup only or can bring to local cars & coffee
I will post another thread to avoid confusion with this thread.
