I don't know how many of you are on the Sierra Madre mailing list, but every once in a while they have a really good sale. Today I got an email for a 2-for-1 sale. For the 914, they included repo Euro tail lenses and rear caliper pistons.

Taillight Lens, Euro, 914 (70-76)
Rear Caliper 33mm, 914/4 (70-76
Rear Caliper, 38mm, 914-6 (70-72)

You have to call to get the 2-for-1 deal, you cannot just order online (no idea why - they don't ask for anything other than your shipping address and payment info). Here are the instructions:

"Orders for specially priced items below must be placed in store, by email or over the phone to obtain the special sale price. Blowout pricing valid through Tuesday, 9/26/17. This offer cannot be combined with any other discounts, special return policy applies. Please call 888.986.4466 or +1.626.844.4616 to speak with a sales associate and place your order!"

Anyway, I figured I'd post this if you are interested. Sierra Madre sponsors Okteenerfest every year, so I feel good about giving them a plug. Plus, I'm getting a set of Euro tail light lenses for under $130 shipped. I've never had a bad experience with this vendor. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Steve,
WOW, thanks for the head's up! I've been wanting to get some euro taillight's for 3 years now to replace my cracked ones, but too cheap to pull the trigger. Just got off the phone with them. $129 and will ship out today!

While I won’t buy anything URO electrical or mechanical, I have URO tail light lenses on my 911, and they are actually not bad. Not saying the 914 lenses are guaranteed good, but might be worth a look.

What's URO ??

It's a brand of reproduction parts for classic European cars. Here is a link to their Website: https://www.uroparts.com/uro/

Like most repro parts companies, they have good products and bad products. Opinions vary with experiences.

Certainly will have to give SM Props on this. They have shown time and time again that they love the 914.

I have the SMC Euro lenses on my 914. The quality and color is good, but the bend angle around the side of the car is less than perfect. They had a first run that was terrible (would not seal on the side) which they let me keep for free. The second set fit quite well on one side, and the other is pretty good. At the price point I felt they were good to use. They are molded in color and not painted color like some lenses I have gotten for my 912 in the past. Look good on the car I feel.

If I were still looking, I would order a set and give it a whirl guys. Assuming the side is molded properly, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.

Just as a reminder, 914rubber has a GB going for both US and URO rear lens for 195/pair with seals.

I think you've got a better chance of seeing God than finding Mark re-saleing URO products. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) Pretty sure anyway.
