I am rebuilding my 1.8 motor. Im going to add a external oil cooler with a special made cover and use it to blow heat into the cab. I plan on using a adapter at the oil filter that will send to the external cooler and then back again. So with all that in mind i got a high valume pump to replace my old pump and a kit to up the oil pressure. hopping that I would get good oil flow using the original cooler and the remote one. The remote cooler will be mounted close to motor. The booster kit came with a long spring a very short spring and two pistons. My case has a place for only one. The spring that is in the motor is much shorter than the new one. just putting on the cap is very difficult with the new spring. Im thinking this will not work and maybe it was ment for a type one motor. What are your thoughts? left is the original spring, right is the new one that seems way to long.Attached Image
