1975 Porsche 914 1.8l FI
For sale: 1975 Porsche 914 1.8l FI. As listed below, significant work has been recently done to get this car back on the road after a long stint as an unfinished project. The car has its original engine and l-jet fuel injection, maintained and tuned by Tangerine Racing. It was painted in 2015 in the original L041 black but has yet to be wet sanded and buffed. Four extra coats of clear was applied with this in mind. This is not a show car but a very nice daily driver. The black interior was replaced with tan seats, backpad and door cards and new carpet all around was installed. The dash is in great shape with no cracks. The three gauge center console is in place and is also in great shape. Numerous rubber seals, parts, and miscellaneous pieces have been replaced. Originally a California car, it spent time in Florida and Rhode Island before we purchased it in 2014. The major metal work was done by the previous owners with additional metal repair improvements completed by Tangerine Racing in 2016. The hell hole, longs, floors and trunks are solid. The exact mileage is unknown as the odometer is not functional. The car was off the road (but garaged) from 2000 until it was registered in Massachusetts this year. The car has a clean Mass title. Highlights of just some of the work completed over the past 3 years are below. If additional photos or details on work completed are needed, just let me know what you’d like to see. If you have any questions please send me a DM or email. I am asking $13,000 (or best reasonable offer) for the car and all associated spare parts. 2015: Paint (Black, L041), Seals (Targa, decklid, inner door, other misc.) Fuel Injector Seals 2016: Tan Interior Tangerine Racing for a full review of work completed and tune, misc repairs. Pushrod tube seals, L-Jet Tune, new speedometer cable, shift rod bushings, Fuel and vacuum hoses, floor repair under gas pedal, weld top of longitudinals to improve door gap, etc. 2017: New headliner, front trunk carpet, rear trunk mat, sail panel vinyl. Tangerine Racing for a new clutch, pressure plate. Titled, registered, and inspected in Massachusetts. |

Price drop to $13,000 Can you tell us why the paint job is unfinished? All that expense and left undone? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) |

that car would look great with a set of tan loop carpets installed. Black with tan interior is certainly one of the nicer 914 color combinations. Black cars were very very rare as they required extra prep and the assembly line workers at vw griped when they had to do it!
