How do you set the trigger "window" on the Kit system?

The BT value is set as follows: With the ignition “OFF”, the crank pulley is set to the desired timing advance, the distributor is rotated to the point where either trailing edge of the interrupter, just passes the center of timing sensor “A”. In this case the desired timing advance is 10 degrees BTDC. When cranking the engine, spark occurs due to this mechanical setting. The RPM and MAP timing adjustments are added to the base figure for total timing. The Deg value can be used to verify proper timing of the engine with a timing light.

Are you rotating the dizzy the right way? counter clockwise I think....

You're positive your setting it a 10 degrees BTDC???

No power above 4000 sounds like it's retarded.

You need a wideband dOOd. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I have a wideband. I've been slowly dialing in more advance. I'm pretty sure I'm setting the base timing correct. I guess the next step is to take of the impeller and mark 10 degrees. It should be the second fin past TDC.

Just drove to work. Still nothing above 4k, and it's set to 38 advance. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
