I don't think the seller provided enough specific detailed photos. It's a 914, so you better show good detail of the known problem areas, and his reply was "I'll send you pics". That's why it didn't go higher. Market could be sagging a bit too, but I think high dollar bidders for an online auction expect more.

I agree with Perry. That is a very desirable color, appears to be numbers matching and in good condition. But critical area photos are not present. No reason not to shoot those photos when you plan to put a car like this up for sale. That car should have sold for good money and would have with the proper advertising. Adriatic Blue looks great on our cars.
