I'm curious what the group thinks about this six offered for sale in Canada. They claim it's a 1972. It has the VW/Porsche badge, a funky rear light, and some other oddities. Is it a non-U.S. Model? Canadian? Be critical as I am considering it!

Looks nicely done. They are listing it as a 1970 and a 72. Maybe just a typo?

This is not a 72, looks to be any early 70. I am not a 100% authenticity guru, but this car looks to be a very careful and authentic restoration. Nothing glaringly incorrect jumps out at me, and the inclusion of many hard to get correct parts indicates to me that a lot of effort went in to make this a correct car.

The light on the back is a euro fog light that was a factory fitment for some markets. The rear badging is euro also. Other than lens colors, and kph speedo not sure what else might differentiate a 914 as euro or Canadian.

I see Mike F is logged on, maybe he will comment further.

It appears to me to be a premium car at a premium price.

I heard from the seller this morning. They have a deposit on the car and aren't answering my questions.
