I need some advice for replacing my heads. After only 2k miles my engine dropped a valve seat. The engine dude I used was a big mistake. The engine was running strong before the valve seat went south. I am leaning toward new heads because a rebuild for 40 year old heads is not a good idea. In a recent post McMark referenced that AA has new castings that look good but they are round port heads. How do you make them work with oval headers? I appreciate any and all comments.
Thanks Brian |

Round ports are oval, square ports are later bus heads.

No recourse with the builder or are you just looking to avoid him altogether?

Yup, round=oval ports. Just a naming thing. Call them either one and you're talking about the same thing.
But square ports are different. These are the ones you want... Part#: 004 CH 039 BC https://aapistons.com/collections/bare-cast...stud-round-port |

I just want to forget that total experience. I just hope what nothing else surfaces. Brian |
