These are the steering shaft bearings that also cross over to 911. We have actually been able to improve on the design some and these make a very nice fit. You can buy them on this GB when we are ready to ship (end of the week or so).
In purchasing this you also have the option to include the puck ( 901.347.201.02, for $22 Hardware (including new washers - the ones that bend up as shown) for $8 more 2 elliptical washers ( 901.347.248.00) with 4 bolts as shown. We are also working on the rubber that holds the bearing 901.347.223.03 that is NLA for $10. You will only be able to get the special pricing on the add-ons if you buy the bearing at a greatly reduced price. So.... Whos in? Attached thumbnail(s) Attached image(s) |

I'm in for that! Lot of work but I'm tired of shaky wobbly steering.

We are also adding some more racks back into inventory in the next week as we have gotten more parts back from plating. So we may be able to do the one stop shopping to swap it all out - for at least a few of ya. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Does this fix the metal scraping sound I hear when I turn my steering wheel sometimes?

Does this fix the metal scraping sound I hear when I turn my steering wheel sometimes? Possibly? I'd take a good look. This actually holds the short link to the steering rack. That's how I found it. This bearing is pinched inside the rubber housing to allow for some limited movement but I'm guessing that these have never been changed. Not many know they exist. We did make some improvements to the bearing that will help it to outlast you and I. We even plated it in zinc instead of being raw metal. There wasn't a lot of corrosion on the one I had but you know me, and my OCD! For the picture the bearing is #26 the other parts circled are ones that are also included in the Group buy. If we choose to include the rubber that holds the bearing, do you just ship the whole group when everything is ready?
