Narrow or stock body fenders Car , 4 bolt real fuchs or 2liter wheels
Has 195/60r 15 on it now Netto touring front (still tread enough but are like 8 years old ) Continental touring rear ( tread is pretty low also old but in good shape) I beginning to realize a tire failure on these cars could be especially dangerous Cause lets face it a 914 gets driven harder then A toyota I dont want to roll the fender lips and the clearance with current tire size is already tight Budget pretty wide open since i want something reliable or high quality ? |

The majority of my tire purchases are from Tire Rack. Shipping is from NV to CA so there is no applicable sales tax, but the cost of shipping makes it a wash. They can drop ship to ASAP Tire that is a mobile installer that comes right to you in a van with full mounting and balancing capabilities. Super Convenient.
Tire Rack also includes full road hazard warranty with all purchases which is another value added. They also advised against the Dunlops and Yokohamas as being an older design and not offering better performance for the increased cost. For whatever reason the set of General Altimax RT 43s on my 914 were less money at America's Tire at $64.00 per, but a real pain in the ass to go hang out there while their installers move at a snails pace. Tire size is 195 65 15s and the Altimax RT 43s are quite good for the price, keeping in mind that noise level and wet performance are irrelevant as the car is only driven on nice days with the roof off. |
