does anybody know if a 75/76 d-jet harness will work on a 74 car, computer, brain, mps, etc....

Nope. The 75-76 has a two pole TTS circuit and the 73-74 only has a single wire. That whole TTS circuit is completely different on the later harness, but other than that it might work.
