Slide 11 of 11: The 916 is an ultra-rare hardtop-only version of the mid-engine 914 equipped with a 2.7-liter 911S-sourced flat-six. Only 11 were built, meaning seeing one anywhere outside a museum or collection is extremely unlikely. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Attached image(s) |

Sweet! I idolized that car as a kid.
I had a book that was all about 914's (when I was 15?) and there was some cool info in it about 916's. My uncle always said they didn't make that car because it was too fast ??? I guess I had to build my own to find out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) |

I would rather have the 75/76 bumpers then those. |

I thought the 916s were equipped with the 2.4 of the 911S (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

At least that roof won’t squeak. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
