There's a mod I've done to those bolts, I read about it in Up Fixin Der Porsche. You chuch up the bolt and cut a small groove in the shoulder, then drill a small hole across the bolt, right in the groove, and then drill another hole down the top of the bolt, (intersecting with the small cross hole) for a grease fitting.

They are a self locking bolt with a nylon button in the threads. If reusing a used on put blue Loctite on the threads. New hinges come with new bolts.
Most used ones get rust and wear. J West makes better hinges. Attached thumbnail(s) |
